Some couples just radiate joy—and Shalliah and Ian are absolutely one of them. I’ve had the honor of photographing them before, so when Ian proposed at Spruce Cape (the same place we’d made memories with past photos), it felt extra special to come together again for some engagement portraits.


We met at Boy Scout Beach on one of those magical Kodiak evenings when the light lingers just a little longer. In the tall grasses, Shalliah and Ian laughed, held each other close, and soaked in the warmth of the golden hour. Down by the water, they danced, spun, and playfully kicked up waves—a perfect reflection of their frolicky, easygoing love.


Every detail about them is intentional, from the delicate tattoos and sweet heart-shaped necklace to Shalliah’s absolutely stunning engagement ring. You can tell in every glance and every touch just how deeply they cherish each other.


It’s such a gift to document this chapter in their story, and I can’t wait to see what comes next for these two.
